Hello! My name is
BLAIRE ERSKINE
I’m an Emmy-nominated comedy writer, actor, and proud Emmy loser. Two-time WGA Award loser, too, but who’s counting besides me and the people who keep making trophies.
I’ve written and starred in countless bits for Jimmy Kimmel Live!, guest starred on American Auto, Stargirl, and As Seen on Adult Swim, and made a bunch of videos online back when Twitter was still called Twitter. If you recognize my giant head, it’s probably from one of those places. Or an internet-induced fever dream. Either feels possible.
My mother would want me to tell you that The New York Times named me one of the “Best Actors of 2020” in their Great Performances issue. My name appeared on the same list as Sophia Loren’s name. Which… is Sophia Loren.
I’ve also been featured by InStyle as one of the “50 Women Making the World a Better Place,” by The Hollywood Reporter as one of the “TikTok Comedians Hollywood Should be Watching,” and by The Daily Beast as the “MAGA-Spoofing Comedian Who Duped Michael Moore.” Michael, if you’re reading this: call me. It’s been years. We can work through this.
I was born and raised in Georgia, got my start in Atlanta’s stand-up scene, and eventually posted a video that went wildly viral and changed my life, which is now a deeply modern, American tradition.
My first real “you’re a comedy writer now” job came from Robert Smigel, who hired me as a staff writer on Let’s Be Real. From there, I joined the writing staff at Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where I spent three years writing monologue jokes and sketches about our current, insane times with some of the industry’s best (and some of my favorite) people. It was a dream job and comedy boot camp in one, and it only aged me a few years on the outside. And on the inside, nine hundred decades, give or take.
I’m represented by Ayala Cohen Management and Taryn Ariel at CAA. My commercial agent is Jennifer York at DPN.
This is my second website, as blaireerskinedotcom was stolen by one of those url sitters who’s currently trying sell it for money. Little does he know not even Blaire Erskine will pay him for blaireerskinedotcom. But you have to admire the ambition. The blind optimism.
Anyway: welcome to blaireerskine.co
Just co.
I’ll be using this space for updates! Substack links. New headshots. Press — like when its announced that I’ll be playing the mom in the gritty, live action CANDYLAND movie that is almost certainly awaiting us just a few short years from now.
